Skims Lighthouse: Real-Time UPS Logistics Tracking Built Directly into NetSuite

Standard logistics tools couldn't handle Skims' large-scale, multi-warehouse delivery needs. Magentic AI built Lighthouse, a UPS-integrated tracking platform connected to NetSuite, providing real-time visibility and SKU-level detail for warehouse and operations teams.

Skims Lighthouse: Real-Time UPS Logistics Tracking Built Directly into NetSuite

Skims handles a high volume of retail shipments across multiple warehouse locations. Keeping track of delivery statuses, expected arrival dates, and SKU-level logistics data at that scale requires more than a standard tracking tool.

What the operations team was dealing with:

  • No real-time connection between UPS delivery data and NetSuite records, creating lag between what was happening in logistics and what the team could see.
  • Data complexity across shipments involved SKUs, colours, sizes, UPS statuses, and multiple warehouse locations all needing to be trackable simultaneously.
  • Filtering and searching across large logistics datasets was slow and often required manual cross-referencing between systems.
  • Exporting logistics data for reporting and analysis was a manual process that added time to an already stretched operations workflow.

We built Lighthouse as a NetSuite-native logistics management layer with a live UPS API integration, giving Skims' operations team a single place to track, filter, and manage all delivery data in real time.

  • UPS API integration pulls live delivery statuses, expected delivery dates, and logistics details directly into the platform, keeping NetSuite records current without manual updates.
  • Location-based filtering lets teams view logistics data by specific warehouse location or across all locations simultaneously.
  • Collapsible data tables organise high-volume shipment data into manageable views without losing access to the underlying detail.
  • Status tabs enable quick filtering by delivery status, giving operations teams an immediate picture of what is in transit, delivered, or flagged.
  • SKU, colour, size, and date filtering allows teams to drill down to the exact shipment detail they need without scrolling through unrelated records.
  • Global search and Excel export make it easy to find specific packages and generate reports for analysis without leaving the platform.

Integration with both UPS and NetSuite was the critical foundation. We ensured that delivery data from UPS mapped cleanly to the right NetSuite records in real time, and built the filtering and display layer on top of that live data connection.

Outcomes for Skims' logistics and operations teams:

  • Real-time UPS data inside NetSuite eliminated the lag between physical delivery events and system visibility, improving decision-making speed across the operations team.
  • Location-based filtering gave warehouse managers a focused view of their own operations without losing access to the broader picture when needed.
  • Search and filtering across SKU, colour, size, and status dramatically reduced the time spent locating specific shipment records.
  • Excel export gave the reporting team clean, analysis-ready data without any manual extraction from NetSuite.
